The Institute of
Information Technology (iIT)
is established to provide focus
for the rapid development of
high-technology academic
programs to serve the community
of Colegio
de San Juan de
Letran.
The Institute serves as the home
for the Information Technology
academic programs of the Colegio.
Through innovative partnerships
with industry leaders, the
Institute will help students to
gain industry standard training
experience and meet continually
changing industry needs. The
Institute will also provide
services that attract and
support students from diverse
educational and economic
backgrounds.
The
Institute will provide not just
access to technology that is
important in creating a
digitally-inclusive world, but
also, and even of greater
importance, enable the Letran
community the acquisition of
?digital literacy? ?the
knowledge and skills necessary
to use these technologies and
the ability to adapt to the
rapid pace of their change which
is the hallmark of their ongoing
development. Understanding how
technologies work, and building
on this knowledge to adapt to
newer devices, provide the
opportunities to succeed in the
workplace and thus actively
participate and contribute to
the development of the society.
