Digital Arts Academic Program

Overview: In an age where 2-D and 3-D design, photography, video, animation, and audio are rapidly converging into a single open platform, Letran?s Digital Arts Program offers the opportunity to explore the expressive potential of digital multimedia within the context of one of the nation's top colleges.

Unlike short-term based programs that may stress technical and business applications, Letran?s Digital Arts program focuses on artistic development. The program emphasizes the conceptual and artistic understanding students need to produce thoughtful, engaging, professional work in this media.

Students entering the program are expected to have a firm grounding in digital media as well as a clear sense of self-direction. Throughout the program, students challenge old beliefs concerning the making, exhibiting, curating, and viewing of art. At the same time, they explore new theoretical and aesthetic contexts, clarifying their own creative vision.

Within the highly intensive five-semester core study, students work and learn side by side with an internationally certified faculty. Students benefit from the program's collaboration with Arena Multimedia School of India. Learning modules are internationally recognized. Some key features of the program include:

* Laddered learning: Learn animation in increasing order of complexity

* Industry-relevant ladderized curriculum

* Extensive project work

* Required portfolio development
